I went through a major life change in 2019. Got sober, lost half my body weight, and reassessed most of life... and then, of course, there was a little pandemic, which brought even more self-reflection. The result was returning to New England and following some longstanding ideas.
An itinerant creative, I've worked as an art director, an editor, a writer, a teacher, and a brewery founder and lived in Maine, New York, Arkansas, Ohio, and Virginia, among others. In 2021, I picked up a camera after a 15 year hiatus and started dusting off old skills. Since then, I've done a mix of event, concert, and portrait work and have soft spots for street and landscape photography. I was a hired photographer for the Boston Book Festival and have had work selected four times in the international 52Frames weekly challenge. I also continue to write for a few clients and publish Reassociation, a regular Substack journal.
My goal for 2024 is to continue building on the personal projects and professional work in both photography and writing. If you like what you see, drop me a line!
